About Me

As a compassionate wellness coach, I empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. I take a non-directive approach to coaching, which basically means that you will decide the focus of our conversation and where you need it to go. I will create a safe psychological space, asking you questions to allow you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and aspirations without fear of judgment.

My path to coaching has been profoundly influenced by the past 5 years, which have helped me discover my inner strength, determination and passion to create something positive out of a pretty crappy time.

As a result, I bring a space where you will feel listened to, understood and strong enough to really understand what your next steps are.

Who am I?

I’m a mum: I’ve single-parented my 3 children (young adults now) for over 15 years. They are my biggest and proudest achievements. I’m by no means an expert on parenting; I only know what has worked for us - most of the time at least!

I’m a dog owner: I have a 9-year-old whippet (Enzo) and an 11-year-old greyhound (Bridget). Only when I tore my Achilles heel a couple of years ago and was an immobile patient, did I realise how much I needed their daily walks for my own mental wellbeing.

I’m a warrior (and it’s taken a lot for me to recognise that): Over the past 5 years, I have supported my family through mental illness, COVID and GCSEs/A-levels, understanding Autism diagnoses, and living with a puppy (to cut a very long story short).

I’m a caring, empathic and calm professional: I began my career as a language teacher in South Wales - a desire borne from wanting to help others and make a difference. In the past ten years, that desire has taken me to 1:1 support of university students, apprentices and corporate clients in the workplace. I’ve embraced a world of neurodiversity - both personally and professionally.

And if you are inquisitive…

  • Almost all of the photos were taken by me as one of my coping strategies through the darkness - although I didn’t realise it at the time.

  • I’m a dichotomy: fiercely independent and struggle to ask for help, yet dream of someone taking over the tough shit some days.

  • I have an ancestry.com subscription and love to research my family tree.

  • I loathe housework.

  • One of my favourite holidays was in a log cabin in the middle of a forest with no phone signal.

  • My memory has to be regularly (constantly) backed up with digital reminders.

  • My first tattoo - of many - was a blue seahorse.

  • I’m quite fond of an exclamation mark!

Who are my clients?

My clients are those who:

  • have a clear understanding of their goals

  • are committed to achieving their desired outcomes

  • are prepared to think critically and possibly embrace some discomfort (not physical!)

  • are willing to invest time in ongoing reflection, experimentation and action between sessions

  • understand that coaching is about finding your own answers and not being told what to do

Please note: I am unable to support those who want to tackle weight loss.
